Keys to Natural Health

.

There are some basic principles to health that you will find being spoken of by almost all health guru's.  Several on them are listed here:

Acid / Alkaline Balance:   A major key to a healthy body is to maintain an appropriate acid alkaline balances.   Avoid carbonated beverages.   They are highly acid producing.   Once a day, drink a half glass of water with a tablespoon of apple-cider-vinegar in it.

Body Movement:   One must keep the body active.   At minimum walk for twenty minutes twice a week.  Preferably engage in stretching and coordination exercises.   Some of the commonly recommended and most health-producing activities include:  walking, dancing, table tennis.  

Mental Exercise:   One must also keep the mind active.    Each day for a  minimum of fifteen  minutes do something that challenges the brain, such as learning a new language or learn to play a musical instrument.   Do something mental that is out of the ordinary. 

Dietary Supplements:   Fish oil - Omega 3   (or Flax seed oil) ---   Multi-vitamin

Food:   Fresh Fruits and vegetables    

Dr. Daniel Amen, author of "Change Your Brain -- Change Your Life"  recommends that you include these foods in your diet:

Avocados  --   Blueberries  --  Broccoli   --  Green Tea  --  Oatmeal  --  Oranges

Red Bell Peppers  --  Salmon  --  Spinach  --  Tuna fish  --   turkey  --  Walnuts.

Other Health teachers will have food lists that are very similar.

For Anxiety:   Become physically active.

For Depression:   Become physically active. 

.

For anger:   Become physically active. 

.

Repetitive Negative Thoughts:   

1)   Distract your attention from the thought by being here and now.  When a repetitive negative thought comes into your mind, immediately shift your focus to your breath and focus on here and now.    

2)   Talk back to the thought.  Say,  "Is this true?   Is this reality or is it just my story about reality?
